About the Writer...
Newly-established, The Panto Pen is dedicated to bringing you affordable, hilarious and fun-filled scripts for amateur licensing. Passionate about pantomime, our Managing Director and Writer, Harvey Johnson, knows the tips and tricks to a well-balanced panto, and we are sure you will find a script to suit your needs. All of our scripts are twice-annually edited and polished to ensure we have the best up-to-date humour for your production.

Hailing from South Shields in the North East of England, Harvey Johnson is a freelance performer and writer, currently training in Musical Theatre at the prestigious Arts North Studios. Having made his professional debut in ‘Wendy The Witch and the Phantom’s Panto Party’ in 2021, Harvey has went onto appear in a number of professional productions, including pantomimes, concerts and a short film, as well as countless amateur productions. Harvey now acts as the Acting Coach / Group Leader at STAMP (South Tyneside Academy of Musical Performance), where he tutors for ages 13-19.
Harvey writes: "pantomime to many is the first experience of live theatre, and it is often what inspires young children to go on and follow their dreams. It is our responsibility to not only lift up the hearts of the audience, but to find and inspire the next generation of talent. So no matter the title or time of year, we have to create magical memories for families; a bit of escapism from this ever-changing world. I am proud to be able to share my ideas and scripts to provide a basis for societies, groups and companies to make their vision come to life.
