Terms and Conditions

Please note: by applying for a Harvey Johnson Pantomimes performance license, you fully agree, acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions outlined below. 

 Section One: General

 

  1. Harvey Johnson Pantomimes has the right to change these terms and conditions at any moment. 

  2. Any breach of the terms and conditions, in any form, will result in the termination of any license, without reimbursement, and could also lead to legal action being taken. 

  3. Harvey Johnson Pantomimes carries out random routine checks to maintain protection against breaches of these terms and conditions. 

  4. Harvey Johnson Pantomimes reserves all rights. 

 

Section Two: Licensing + Fees

 

  1. An official performance license MUST be applied for, and granted, before a rehearsal period commences and before any form of announcement is made for the production. 

  2. The appropriate royalty must also be paid, in full, before the script will be sent.

  3. Our licenses are non-transferable, meaning the license is only applicable for the number of performances dated in the contractual agreement…

  4. Harvey Johnson Pantomimes must be notified of any additional performances added on top of those detailed in the performance license, as an additional payment will be due and a new license will be issued.

  5. All licensing fees paid are non-refundable. 

 

Section Three: Perusal Copies

 

  1. Perusal copies are a preview copy of Act One of a script, and can be applied for via our website.

  2. Perusal copies are solely for review purposes. 

  3. Receiving a perusal copy in no way grants permission or rights to use the script for a production.

  4. Perusal copies are not to be distributed, printed or shared to anyone further than the origin email recipient. 

 

Section Four: Publicity / Author Acknowledgements

  1. The theatre company or society producing a production must clearly acknowledge the author, Harvey Johnson, in all publicity, printed or otherwise. Our website harveyjohnsonpantomimes.com is also to be referenced. 

  2. All acknowledgements must be clear and distinctly recognisable.

  3. Any logo/artwork used by Harvey Johnson Pantomimes is not permitted to be shared, used or distributed, and must not be included in any publicity, printed or otherwise. In other words, the rights to use these pieces of artwork are not included in the performance license. 

  4. In line with Section One, Term Three, Harvey Johnson Pantomimes may request copies of all publicised materials. If so, all copies must be sent.

 

Section Five: Alterations to the Script

 

  1. All material written in the script remains property of the author, Harvey Johnson.

  2. Harvey Johnson Pantomimes holds no liability for incorrect use of copyrighted songs and external performance materials, including (but not limited to), sound effects, and costumes, even in the circumstance of using a song recommended by Harvey Johnson Pantomimes. It is the theatre company’s sole responsibility to make sure they have the correct licenses in place. Harvey Johnson Pantomimes are in no way responsible for any copyright infringements.

  3. Customers are permitted to make minor alterations to the script, in the form of a line being edited/cut. 

  4. Major edits that may affect the structure of the piece are not permitted, however, if you feel the change is absolutely necessary, you must ask for permission from the writer - a copy of the new script must be sent to writer for approval. A major edit may come in the form of a character added or cut, a scene added or cut, etc. ​
